Each succulent fillet is generously brushed with a tantalizing glaze, marrying the savory depth of soy sauce with the natural sweetness of honey. The addition of sesame oil imparts a nutty richness, perfectly complementing the zing of rice vinegar.
Ingredients
1 pack TRELLIS Snapper fillets
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated or thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced or thinly sliced
salt (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Green onions, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Cooked rice or steamed vegetables (for serving)
Directions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Make the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic and spices. This is your sesame ginger glaze.
Prepare the Snapper:
Cut the snapper fillets into desired portions and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a shallow dish or on a plate.
Brush with Glaze:
Brush the snapper fillets generously with the sesame ginger glaze, ensuring an even coating.
Bake:
Place the glazed snapper fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly oiled. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Broil (Optional):
For an extra touch, you can broil the snapper for an additional 2-3 minutes until the glaze becomes slightly caramelized.
Garnish:
Remove the snapper from the oven, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serve:
Serve the Sesame Ginger Glazed Snapper over cooked rice or with steamed vegetables. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the top.
