What makes Trellis different from fish markets or other retailers?

At Trellis, we deliver the most diverse range of premium, local, wild-caught fish and other seafood to families across the island. This range of fish is usually only available to fine dining establishments and to persons brave enough to face the hustle and bustle of the fish markets. But now, we bring it to you!

Our fish is caught and processed by the most experienced fisherfolk in the industry then professionally packaged to ensure optimal quality.

We provide a comfortable, convenient seafood shopping experience with our attractive 24/7 online shop, online payment solutions, shore-to-door delivery and live customer service representatives.

We educate our seafoodies on industry best practices and give tips, tricks, recipes and more through our website and social media platforms.

As third-generation seafood processors, we are passionate about the sea, seafood and you … and that is reflected in everything we do.

When will my order be delivered?

We deliver islandwide across Barbados.

Deliveries are now free for orders over $99 while there is a $10 fee for orders less than $100.

Due to the nature of our business, we are unable to ship to PO boxes.

We are unable to ship internationally at this time.

Is your seafood wild-caught?

All of our seafood is wild-caught locally. We expertly inspect each catch directly from the boats as soon as they land.

Is the seafood delivered frozen?

With the exception of premium grade tuna and lobster, all of our seafood is delivered vacuum-sealed and frozen by default. That way we are able to preserve the quality and once thawed, the fish will maintain the same taste and texture as when it was originally processed.

The word ‘fresh’ in the seafood industry just means ‘unfrozen’. There is a common misconception among the general public that unfrozen fish = high quality. However, in reality, seafood left unfrozen for extended periods of time is more prone to degradation and harmful bacteria. Many retailers who sell unfrozen fish have had that catch for several days to several weeks.

By harvesting, processing, vacuum-sealing and freezing fish in the shortest turnaround time possible, the freshness of the fish is essentially frozen in time…making it just as good (if not better) than when it was first packaged.

Do the fish fillets contain bone?

While we make reasonable efforts to remove bones from our filleted fish, it is possible that some fillets may contain small bones. We suggest inspecting fish thoroughly before cooking/serving.

Where are you located?
